Griffiths & Armour appoint Managing Director of the Professional Risks Division
Griffiths & Armour is pleased to announce that Paul Berg has been appointed as Managing Director of our Professional Risks Division.
Paul began his insurance career at Griffiths & Armour in 1990. He has developed a varied practice of professional clients across our core market segments of construction, legal and financial services, and became a Partner in the firm in 2011. Over many years, Paul has led our development, marketing and communications strategies and has been instrumental in positioning Griffiths & Armour as a leading Professional Indemnity insurance advisor and trusted advocate for the construction professions. He was a catalyst for the establishment of our operations in Ireland, which has evolved to Griffiths & Armour Europe.
Amidst the quickly evolving digital risk landscape, Paul has performed a critical leadership role in Griffiths & Armour’s response to the IT challenges faced by all professional services businesses in recent years. By collaborating and working closely with colleagues he has helped ensure that our IT infrastructure met the evolving needs of the business, including the successful pursuit of ISO 27001 accreditation, an internationally recognised standard for information security management.
Paul will continue to lead the broking, claims and risk management teams who support Griffiths & Armour’s broad spectrum of professional firms, institutions and associations and continue to support the next generation development of our IT, marketing and communications initiatives.
Carl Evans, Partner and Group Chief Executive – Professional Risks Division, said:
“Having worked closely with Paul for over 30 years, I am confident that he will bring an injection of energy and creativity to this role, ensuring that we are well positioned for the future. With a respectful nod to the past and a keen eye on tomorrow, I am excited to see his thoughts and ideas being developed and implemented.
Paul’s appointment again demonstrates our commitment to succession planning and continued evolution”.
“I’m overwhelmed by the positive messages of support and encouragement received from clients, insurer partners and colleagues following the announcement.
We are fortunate to have built a great team at Griffiths & Armour and I’m looking forward to continuing my close work with colleagues, our clients and insurer partners to take the opportunity to steer a safe and positive path through the next phase of the business cycle”.
