NSPCC Coastal Walk | Griffiths & Armour

Griffiths & Armour team complete Wirral Coastal Walk

Sunday 11 June saw a small cohort from both divisions at Griffiths & Armour take part in The Wirral Coastal Walk for the NSPCC.

The four-hour-long trek saw the team head from the start point at The New Brighton Pavilion and skirt along the beachfront to West Kirby, although the team commented this felt like the longest 9-mile stretch ever walked! However, a brief pitstop to pop their feet up with a quick ice cream provided a welcome respite in the heat. From this checkpoint, it was a short sprint to the finish line in Thurstaston to end the achievement. The team handled the walk well, with the trek being more difficult due to rare high temperatures in the North West although some of the team did leave slightly sunburnt!

The day was a great success, with the team raising funds for the NSPCC so they may continue their excellent work in supporting children and young people across the country.

The team have a great achievement under their belt, all the better for their contributions to the charity and planning is already underway to organise future events.

Paula Marshall, Corporate Partnerships Manager for the NSPCC in the Northwest added:

“We’re proud to partner with Griffiths & Armour who are fantastic supporters of ours helping us to keep children safe. Thanks to all the team colleagues who took part in the Wirral Coastal Walk in June to raise funds on what was a warmer than needed day! Times are busy so giving up a weekend day to support means a lot.

In addition to our Childline service there to help children and young people 24/7, our NSPCC Helpline is there for any adult in the UK concerned about a child’s safety and wellbeing. You may be a concerned neighbour or come across a situation in your work life where you become aware of children in a vulnerable situation. Whatever your concern, please call us on 0808 800 5000 to speak to one of our team.

Thank you, team G&A, for your continued support.”
