University of Liverpool Students visit Griffiths and Armour

We recently welcomed students from the University of Liverpool for a tour of our Head Office and a presentation which was delivered by Simon Keenan, who himself began life at Griffiths & Armour as a University of Liverpool graduate and is now a Partner on our Main Board. It was great to meet some of the next generation of insurance professionals and we look forward to continuing our support by providing future opportunities through our Graduate scheme. Griffiths & Armour has a long-established partnership with education institutes across the City of Liverpool. Our Graduate Scheme has been established for over thirty years and has been a successful pathway for many of our current team including some of our Partners at G&A.

Some recent recruits to our Graduate Broker Scheme are Josh Calland and Joseph Cullen. Both are University of Liverpool Alumni and have been excelling since joining Griffiths & Armour in October.

Josh Calland graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Business Management and has now set his sights on developing his professional skills and achieving his ACII qualification.

Speaking on his experience so far, Josh had this to say:

“I’ve enjoyed learning about insurance and risk management across the varied industry sectors that our clients operate within. I’m based in the Professional Indemnity department and have recently taken on-board my own clients. I love the working environment and have felt challenged and supported since I joined and have enjoyed all aspects of my training. I’ve had an interest in the insurance industry since an early age as when I was younger, I used to work with my Dad at our family’s mortgage broker firm.”

Joseph graduated from the University of Liverpool with a Master’s in Law and joined Griffiths and Armour’s Graduate Scheme to progress his professional career in the insurance industry. Joseph said the following about his experience on the programme:

“It’s only been a few months, but I’ve found my time so far at G&A rewarding and challenging and have enjoyed the getting involved in various aspects of insurance broking as part of the scheme. I’ve also enjoyed working alongside more experienced members of the team and that has helped me develop key skills since I joined in October.”
