Liverpool Sportswoman's Lunch 2022 | Griffiths & Armour

Liverpool Sportswoman’s Lunch raises over £20k for Marie Curie

The Liverpool Sportswoman’s Lunch has become a glittering date in the diary not to miss, and Griffiths & Armour were once again proud to support this important charity lunch as headline sponsor.

The sold-out event welcomed former Liverpool and Everton goalkeeper and sports commentator Rachel Brown, who gave an inspiring and insightful team talk to the 350 guests gathered at Liverpool Football Club’s Chemistry Lounge. The afternoon was filled with good food, even better conversation, entertainment and fundraising for Marie Curie, all hosted by radio presenter, Darren Proctor.

Debra Heaton, Group Marketing Manager, Griffiths & Armour said: “Wow! Over £20,000 for charity – what an absolutely fantastic event. The team at Griffiths & Armour thoroughly enjoyed attending and as headline sponsors, we are so proud to support an event which means so much to the local community and raises funds for charity. Well done to everyone involved and a big thank you to every guest and supporter who made the day unforgettable.”

“I want to say a massive thank you to the team behind Liverpool Sportswoman’s Lunch. It was such an incredible day and the total raised was absolutely amazing! It costs £6,778 to run the Liverpool Hospice for a day meaning people with terminal illness can get the expert care and support they need in a friendly, welcoming place, so you can imagine how this money is really going to help.

Thank you to LSL and all who donated. Your support really does mean the world.”

Event co-organiser Natalie Dye, from Bathgate Business Finance, said: “It was great to see so many familiar faces come together to celebrate and support such an incredible charity. To have not only raised awareness about their work, but also £20,250 of funds that will help it to continue supporting people with terminal illnesses and their families is fantastic. On behalf of all the event organisers I want to thank our guests for the amazing generosity on the day.”

Following the success of last year’s event, that raised over £11,000 for the NSPCC, we are thrilled to continue to support as headline sponsor. Keep up to date with future Liverpool Sportswoman’s Lunch events by following the team on LinkedIn
