In June 2026, Griffiths & Armour Claims Executive, George Heron will support one of our valued clients, Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, by undertaking an unforgettable journey to the summit of Mount Toubkal – the highest peak in North Africa at a breathtaking 4,167 metres.
About Clatterbridge Cancer Charity
Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is the dedicated charity supporting The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, the leading provider of specialist cancer care across Cheshire, Merseyside and the surrounding areas. The Centre is a major North West–based NHS specialist, and the Charity works alongside it to help deliver outstanding care for people living with cancer.
The team taking part in June’s Mt Toubkal trek have already began preparations for the long days of hiking across rugged terrain, steep ascents and thin air to reach the summit.
George said:
“I joined Griffiths & Armour’s Graduate Programme in 2022 and have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in our charity initiatives and sponsorships. Working closely with our client, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust and Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, has been a particularly rewarding part of my role.Standing at 4,167 metres, Mt Toubkal offers stunning views but also a formidable physical challenge. For me, this journey is about far more than reaching the summit—it’s about raising vital funds to support those facing cancer and their families. I have personally known people who have received essential treatment and care at Clatterbridge, and the service it provides is invaluable to our community.
I am proud to represent Griffiths & Armour, an Aon Company, in this adventure, and doing so for a valued client makes it all the more meaningful.”
How donations will make a difference
The funds raised by those undertaking the expedition are vital in ensuring Clatterbridge Cancer Charity can continue to support people across the North West facing cancer.
