Thank you for helping to raise £2400 for NSPCC!

Over 12 months on since the first lockdown, volunteers for Griffiths & Armour’s nominated charity, the NSPCC, have continued to work around the clock to support vulnerable children who have sadly suffered abuse and neglect through their Childline service.

Throughout this period, Childline delivered 54,926 counselling sessions to children and younger people. Typically, these amazing councillors will deal with the highest number of counselling sessions between midnight and 1am and 34% of all counselling given during the night is related to mental health and emotional wellbeing.

So Griffiths & Armour recently enlisted the support of clients and members of our team to collectively take part in a 24 hour exercise-a-thon, through the day and overnight, with 24 individual volunteers each exercising inside or close to their homes for one hour before passing the (virtual) baton onto the next person, all in aid of raising funds to support the NSPCC’s Childline service.

As seen in the many selfies taken, exercise ranged from a weights session in the living room to a walk in the park with the family pet and for some, a jog in the very early hours with a head torch was their highly commended contribution to the overall effort!

We are delighted to confirm that £100 was raised each hour making a grand total of £2,400 to provide vital funds to help tackle the increase of child abuse through the incredible support that Childline provides any time of the day or night.

We would like to thank all of our clients and our team members, despite the challenges and restrictions around movement, your socially distant efforts are very much appreciated and the funds raised will make a big difference. Well done to all!
