NSPCC Race to Lapland Challenge

We are proud to support the NSPCC and the amazing work they do for children in the UK. As one of our chosen charities, taking part in charity events and doing what we can to support others in need is something very important to us. By working together, our team aims to help the NSPCC continue to prevent abuse, help rebuild children’s lives and support families during times of crisis. Sadly, Christmas can be difficult for many children, and with the added pressures of COVID-19, the NSPCC services are more important than ever.

We were delighted to be recently asked to participate in ‘Insurance to Lapland.’ Throughout December, the NSPCC has challenged the insurance sector to put a team together to raise money by walking, cycling or running 2,784km (4,176,000 steps) between 1-14 December. Despite the cold weather, our team of volunteers collectively achieved an incredible 4,708,730 steps – exceeding the target to Lapland! We would like to congratulate our G&A team on their efforts and for raising £2,000 to help the NSPCC continue to provide support for children across the UK. This total has been matched by our Partners, making our donation to the NSPCC £4,000. This amount of money is equivalent to 1,000 Childline calls being answered. Since the beginning of the first lockdown the NSPCC has seen a 43% rise in calls relating to child abuse, meaning this service is more necessary now than ever before.
