Griffiths & Armour’s Professional Risks team attended The BIBA Conference 2024 at Manchester Central on the 15-16 May. With over 220 exhibitors, more than 50 speakers and an astounding 9,000 attendees, it was a packed couple of days with plenty of opportunities to make new contacts and catch up with existing connections and colleagues.  

At this years’ Conference, we were delighted to formally announce the renewal of our Accreditation Agreement with BIBA to continue as a recommended Professional Indemnity (PI) broker to members for a further three years.

Griffiths & Armour’s exclusive BIBA scheme and proposition has proven to be a huge success since its creation and launch in 2013. Our specialist team provide Griffiths & Armour’s market leading scheme cover and expert advice on managing the risks that BIBA brokers face today and in the foreseeable future. We are committed to provide support to BIBA members with insights, observations and recommendations for the unique challenges being faced by the insurance sector.

BIBA is the UK’s leading general insurance intermediary organisation representing the interests of insurance brokers, intermediaries and their clients. It is the voice of the sector, advising members, Government, regulators, consumer bodies and other stakeholders on key insurance issues. BIBA membership includes around 1,800 regulated firms, employing more than 100,000 people, with Griffiths & Armour holding membership since 2006.

Carl Evans, Griffiths & Armour Group Chief Executive for Professional Risks, sits on the BIBA Board and is the current Chair of the BIBA Larger Brokers’ Advisory Board; Professional Risks Director Matt MacLaren participates in the Insurance Brokers Standards Committee; and Craig Roberts, Partner and Group Director, Professional Risks Division, sits on the Liability and Accident Committee, providing insight on professional indemnity insurance matters. This activity assists BIBA’s efforts to maintain a stable insurance market environment, enabling our team to deliver first class insurance solutions for our clients. Our work with BIBA helps to sustain an insurance industry which acts in the clients’ best interests.
