Bespoke Insurance for Queens Quarter | Griffiths & Armour

Griffiths & Armour Construction team place bespoke project and Latent Defects insurances for Queen’s Quarter, Croydon

The Griffiths & Armour Construction Insurance team are pleased to have once again worked alongside HUB Residential to place the project insurances for another fantastic residential development, Queen’s Quarter.

The 513-home development is situated in the heart of Croydon, South London in a thriving destination that will improve the availability of affordable homes in the area and kick start the long-term progressive vision of Croydon Council. The development, executed by the main contractor, Henry Construction, consists of 4 tower blocks at 12-38 storeys high, with rooftop amenity spaces and ground floor commercial units. Achieving practical completion in July 2022, Queen’s Quarter provides 513 for sale and rental homes at an affordable cost and over 50% of the units are delivered as affordable housing. The project was designed by the Stirling prize-winning AHMM, and is centred around Queen’s Gardens, a transformed, community co-designed public park working with renowned landscape architects Grant Associates.

The affordable and communal nature of the scheme symbolises the continuation of the HUB / Bridges Fund Management partnership and their focus on the expansion and development of much needed housing supply in and around London, and in key lifestyle cities across the UK.

Tom Stoneham, HUB said:

“Griffiths & Armour were extremely helpful in providing a selection of specific insurances to our unique development at Queen’s Quarter. As the scheme was also delivered over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, the advice that Griffiths & Armour provided to HUB was critical in steering the project through to completion”.

Emma Snelson, Griffiths & Armour said:

“Griffiths & Armour were pleased to provide a bespoke insurance solution for the project along with a Latent Defects placement and to once again work alongside HUB on another fantastic scheme”.

The Griffiths & Armour Construction team are delighted to continue to work with HUB, after successful collaborations such as the Wembley Link project, and most recently Leeds Purple (Whitehall Road) and The Landing, Maidenhead, both of which are currently under construction.

Our expert team has a wealth of experience in securing bespoke insurance placements for complex projects, including project builds utilising sustainable methods of construction such as timber, as well as a specialism in Latent Defects placements.
