Bespoke Insurance Programme for Abbey Place | Griffiths & Armour

Griffiths & Armour Construction team place bespoke insurance for Abbey Place

The Griffiths & Armour Construction Insurance team are pleased to have placed the insurances on another project led by HUB Residential. Situated in the emerging neighbourhood Abbey Wood and just a stone’s throw away from the new Abbey Wood Crossrail station in South East London, the completion of Abbey Place sets a new benchmark for modern and innovative living within the area.
Hitting practical completion in April 2023, Abbey Place provides 245 new mixed tenure homes available to buy or rent at an affordable cost.
The development was designed by shedkm and consists of two tower blocks at 13 and 21 storeys high, with rooftop amenity spaces and  8,428 sqft of flexible communal, retail and commercial space.
Built with the local people of Greenwich in mind, the scheme also involved the partnership of HUB and Environmental Engineers Skelly & Crouch in developing energy-efficient aspects of the new build, such as connecting the heating and hot water infrastructure to the existing district heating scheme and the use of PV cells on rooftops to provide sustainable electricity supply. The highly energy efficient and communal nature of the scheme symbolises the continuation of the partnership between HUB and Bridges Fund Management, focusing on the delivery of much needed housing in and around London.

Griffiths & Armour Associate Director, Emma Snelson said:

“It was once again fantastic to work with Hub and Tom Valente (Senior Development Manager) on this scheme based in Abbey Wood. HUB are a longstanding G&A client and it is always a pleasure to work with such a talented team who value the bespoke approach!”

HUB Senior Development Manager, Tom Valente, added:

“We are always grateful to the team at Griffiths & Armour for providing excellent project insurance for our projects. The Abbey Place scheme is a great example of a project that delivers a high proportion of good quality affordable housing in a regeneration area with great connectivity.”
