Association for Consultancy and Engineering welcomes Kate Jennings as new Chief Executive

In March, the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) announced the arrival of new Chief Executive, Kate Jennings.  Kate comes to ACE with a wealth of experience having served in Cabinet Office and the Department for Transport, followed by a strategic leadership role at the Railway Industry Association and more recently as an Executive Board member of Logistics UK.

Of course, our own relationship with ACE dates back to 1945 and like many of our other industry body relationships, it is about:

  • Assisting members to manage their risk more effectively;
  • Influencing the liability landscape in which they operate; and
  • Helping them to make good decisions on their PI insurance arrangements.

Supporting all of that is a Strategic Agreement which reflects our mutual commitment to understanding and responding to the needs of ACE members, many of whom are Griffiths & Armour clients.

Recognising the value that exists in good collaboration, we are pleased to confirm that this agreement will continue to underpin our joint activities and provide a meaningful platform for representing our clients’ interests.

In line with several other Industry bodies, ACE have welcomed the forthcoming publication of our Whitepaper ‘Constructing Change; Evolving the status quo or time to reset?’ which will examine many of the liability challenges facing the construction sector and explore possible solutions.  We are also looking forward to working with Kate and her team on ACE’s wider risk campaign, an initiative that should deliver real value for our clients and ACE members more generally.

At Griffiths & Armour, we will continue to support individuals, industry bodies and other stakeholders who are committed to improving the commercial, regulatory and legal environment our clients are operating in.  We believe that collaboration is an essential element in securing best outcomes for our clients and society as a whole and we look forward to building on the good work done to date.
