High value vehicle insurance
Adam Brothers Contingency are able to arrange accidental damage, fire and theft cover for high value or
classic vehicles of any type.
Purpose: to provide 'top-up' or 'excess of loss cover' over and above the limit at which the comprehensive
motor insurer feels comfortable. For vehicles being used normally on the road, the minimum excess figure
is GBP 25,000.
Laid-up vehicles: we can offer full value cover on all vehicles whilst laid-up or being restored, including
transit, with an excess as low as GBP 750 each and every loss.
Vehicle collections: can be catered for on very economic terms.
Geography: our binding authority with Lloyd's underwriters enables us to offer worldwide cover, including
transits by sea or air, within the annual premium cost. This shows a great saving when a client is taking
their vehicle overseas.
Type of Vehicle: any high value and/or classic vehicle, of any age.
Limits: up to GBP 1,500,000 any one vehicle and GBP 6,000,000 any one location.
Competitions: cover can be extended to include sprints, rallies, hill climbs and racing for an
additional premium.
Salvage: remains the property of the insured when repair costs exhaust the policy limit. Underwriters
would not wish to deprive the client of their vehicle.
First Loss Aspect: the comprehensive insurer should always acknowledge they are 'first loss' when excess
coverage is purchased.
Any association, group or body of specialist motor owners can enjoy special schemes for their members. Adam
Brothers Contingency are always ready to assist in the development of an association which benefits their
members.
The vast majority of enquiries will be handled under our binding authority and quotations with terms and
conditions are usually available within a couple of hours. However, we have access to additional markets
on vehicles or collections that exceed our binding authority limits.
